"Time After Time" by Jule Styne and Sammy Cahn, and performed here by Liza Minnelli, Michael Feinstein & Billy Stritch.

Some fifteen years ago, I had the good fortune to arrange a one-on-one interview with Michael Feinstein for a Jewish, glossy magazine.

When I first entered his hotel suite, he asked if he could get me anything. Under my breath, my nervous self said jokingly, "Yeah, a stiff drink!"

What I really wanted to say out loud was, "No, I don't need anything. But could you please sit down at the piano here in the sitting room and play 'Time After Time'. I'll sing with you while you play."

But of course I bit my tongue and refrained from saying this.

I was a big Feinstein fan and always played the song over and over on my tape deck, harmonizing with Michael's vocals. I was ready for my debut!

But alas, the _____-Feinstein duet still awaits....!

(But he did really like the article, as did his mother -- whom I was in contact with and supplied me with personal family photos)

I would love to hear you sing this song with Michael F. I have a real problem with Liza Minelli's voice...! And it's getting worse as she gets older...! I LOVED her Mother and was lucky enough to see her in person maybe 6 or 7 times....As sensitive and emotional as Judy Garland was, I never felt like I was watching a train wreck...Somehow, I Always feel like I am watching a train wreck with LM...! BUT, I love Michael Feinstein and I love that song...I used to sing it, myself 'back in the day'...
I LOVE that you had such a nice experience him Pearl...There is such a sweetness about him, isn't there?
Do you know who is at the piano in this clip? I know I know who he is, but cannot think of it...
Oh Well....
